An Arizona man flagged down a deputy in the midst of the highway early Thursday and confessed to fatally taking pictures somebody, in response to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Workplace.
It was round 1 a.m. native time (4 a.m. ET) when the deputy noticed Jay Albert Stevens, 52, in the midst of Central Freeway close to the world of McNeal in southern Arizona.
Stevens waived down the deputy, and upon being requested if he was alright, stated he’d simply shot and killed somebody.
Stevens then led deputies to a house the place a 61-year-old man was discovered lifeless.
Detectives took the McNeal resident into custody and charged him with first-degree homicide. Stevens was booked into the Cochise County Jail, police stated.
An ongoing investigation into the homicide is being carried out by the Cochise County Sheriff’s Workplace.
The sheriff’s workplace didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
