ATLANTA — The Democratic Senatorial Marketing campaign Committee is launching a brand new TV advert in Georgia on Friday ripping into Republican candidate Herschel Walker.
The advert, known as “Cacophony,” depends on information footage to spotlight Walker’s tumultuous previous, protecting allegations of “home violence” in opposition to him, with a reporter at one level saying: “Walker took out his anger by punching a gap within the door.”
With somber music taking part in within the background, it goes on to query Walker’s honesty, with accusations of “lies” together with from his son Christian Walker.
It ends with an announcer asking: “Can he actually be our senator?”
The advert, first reported by NBC Information, is ready to run on Georgia broadcast TV beginning Friday with plans to air it over the ultimate 11 days of the midterm election, mentioned a DSCC spokesperson, including that the marketing campaign arm is placing “important cash” behind it as a part of a $7 million advert purchase in Georgia this fall.
It comes as Walker is working neck-and-neck with Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., in latest surveys of the hotly contested race.
