FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Safety officers at a South Florida airport have reported discovering a handgun hidden inside a uncooked rooster packed in a traveler’s baggage.
The Transportation Safety Administration posted photographs of the gun and poultry, with a pun-filled caption, Monday on its official Instagram account. The weapon was recovered on the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Worldwide Airport.
“We hate to beak it to you right here, however stuffing a firearm in your vacation hen for journey is only a baste of time,” the put up mentioned partially.
The put up didn’t establish the traveler who was transporting the weapon or whether or not any arrests have been made.
In keeping with the TSA, recent meat, seafood and different non-liquid meals objects are permitted in each carry-on and checked luggage, so long as they’re packed in ice. Unloaded firearms are allowed to be transported in checked luggage, however they should be declared on the ticket counter and packed in a locked hard-sided container.
