Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, on the hook for greater than $1 billion due to lies he unfold in regards to the 2012 Sandy Hook bloodbath, has filed for chapter, courtroom paperwork confirmed Friday.

In in search of Chapter 11 safety, the Infowars host filed boilerplate chapter paperwork in Texas, claiming he was value $1 million to $10 million and had money owed of $1 billion to $10 billion.

The submitting comes weeks after a Connecticut jury ordered him to pay $965 million to the households of eight Sandy Hook Elementary Faculty capturing victims and an FBI agent who responded to the assault for the struggling he brought on them by spreading lies on his platforms in regards to the mass capturing.

Connecticut Choose Barbara Bellis later imposed punitive damages of $473 million for selling these false conspiracy theories about Sandy Hook, bringing the invoice to a staggering $1.44 billion.
