A substitute instructor at a Louisiana college is accused of providing college students $5 every to bully and assault one in all their classmates, police stated.
Aadrina Smith, 24, was arrested Monday and charged with 5 counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles and malfeasance in workplace.
The fees stem from an Aug. 23 incident at North Caddo Elementary Center Faculty in Vivian, about 32 miles northwest of Shreveport.
Smith, who was a substitute bodily training instructor, allegedly supplied to pay 5 college students $5 every to deal with their classmate, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Workplace stated in a Fb assertion. A motive was not disclosed.
Video allegedly confirmed Smith “verbally speaking” with the scholars and showing to congratulate three of them who participated, authorities stated.
“The substitute instructor sat on the bleachers whereas the sufferer laid on the health club flooring and later obtained up. Smith by no means helped the sufferer and didn’t report the incident,” in line with the assertion.
It was unclear if Smith had an lawyer.
A spokesperson for the Caddo Parish Public Colleges stated the instructor was fired over the incident and the college’s principal alerted the authorities.
“The Caddo Parish Faculty Board expects workers to conduct themselves professionally and within the curiosity of scholars always,” the spokesperson stated in an announcement. “All through the investigation, the district and college have absolutely cooperated with regulation enforcement.”
