LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Investigators are working to see if they’ll press fees in a lethal capturing at a Lawrenceville house over the weekend.
Gwinnett police say on Aug. 27, officers have been referred to as to the 1100 block of Rose Terrace Circle after stories of an individual shot.
On the scene, officers discovered 31-year-old Daniel Covington with a gunshot wound. Medics rushed him to a close-by hospital the place he died.
In response to investigators, the one that fired the gun, recognized as 23-year-old Kendell Evans, instructed officers that he had arrived on the location for a household occasion when Covington got here as much as him and began arguing.
In the course of the argument, Evans says Covington challenged him to a combat and chased him down when he tried to get away.
Evans then shot Covington, believing that the person had a gun and that he wanted to guard himself. Investigators say proof on the scene corroborated Evans’ account.
At the moment, the investigation is ongoing, and no fees have been filed.
If in case you have any details about the capturing, name detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
