WASHINGTON — Home Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, was “violently assaulted” early Friday morning by an assailant who broke into their dwelling in San Francisco, in response to an announcement from her workplace.
“Early this morning, an assailant broke into the Pelosi residence in San Francisco and violently assaulted Mr. Pelosi. The assailant is in custody and the motivation for the assault is underneath investigation,” stated spokesman Drew Hammill.
“Mr. Pelosi was taken to the hospital, the place he’s receiving wonderful medical care and is anticipated to make a full restoration,” Hammill added.
The Home speaker was not in San Francisco on the time of the assault, the assertion stated.
