Shots fired after man confronts 3 he believes are trying to steal car

Atlanta police are looking for three males who shot up an condominium constructing. Police say a resident believes they had been initially attempting to steal his automobile and confronted them.

It was after midnight August 20. Justin Lane knew one thing was up when three males in a white Kia Optima drove out and in of the small parking zone of his condominium advanced on Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. Lane says the automobile they had been in appeared identical to his automobile.

“They pulled beside my automobile, pulled out a flashlight appeared in,” stated Justin Lane.

From the second ground Lane watched as two of the three bought out of their automobile.

“That they had on face masks. I checked out considered one of them straight within the eyes. I pulled my pistol out cocked it again and was identical to ‘depart’!”.

Atlanta Police launched video of Lane yelling at them to go away. A cut up second later, sounds of gunfire.


Lane says the person within the again seat began firing because the automobile peeled out of the parking zone.

Thankfully Lane wasn’t hit, however the bullets did some injury.

“A couple of of the rounds went via my neighbor’s home windows,” stated Lane.


Police discovered at the very least 7 shell casings within the parking zone.

Police try to determine who the three individuals are who had been in that white Kia Optima.
