Actor and rapper Kaalan Walker has been sentenced to 50 years to life for sexual assault.
Walker was convicted in April of three counts of forcible rape, one rely of assault to commit oral copulation, two counts of statutory rape and two counts of rape by intoxication, based on the L.A. District Lawyer’s Workplace.
Walker, 27, appeared within the 2018 remake of the Nineteen Seventies movie “Superfly” and starred alongside Halle Berry and Daniel Craig within the 2017 drama “Kings.”
The entertainer was arrested in Los Angeles in September 2018 and accused of a collection of sexual assaults on aspiring fashions who he contacted by way of social media and promised work alternatives, police stated. Authorities stated the allegations dated again to 2016.
Walker was arraigned a month afterward 9 felony sexual assault prices and was held on greater than $1 million bail.
Lawyer Andrew Flier stated that Walker’s sentence is “draconian” and known as the trial “very unfair.”
Walker’s protection crew plans to attraction the sentence, Flier stated.
